The Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman

AR Rahman - Allah Rakha Rahman born 6 January 1966 as A. S. Dileep Kumar) is an Indian film composer, record producer, musician and singer. His film scoring career began in the early 1990s.

Recently, The Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman, won two Grammy Awards for his music in the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire. At the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night (Monday morning in India), Rahman struck the first gold at the pre-show. His score in Slumdog Millionaire won the best compilation soundtrack for a motion picture category.
